Job Description
The job requires the employee to various shifts as part of the Utility functions. Primary functions is to assist the Food Safety Quality Assurance Department to ensure the overall food safety and quality in their assigned areas by following regulatory, company, and customer policies, programs and work instructions. This role is expected to conduct accurate inspection and documentation of product food safety and quality. This position is responsible for:  auditing plant programs, which may include but is not limited to: pre-op sanitation (swabbing); product and room temperatures; product inspections, including net weight monitoring, leaker inspections, label verifications, residual oxygen testing; product sampling, grinding, analyzing; metal detector verifications; assisting with oven validation probing; and GMPs. Ensures all products meet company specifications and are produced in a wholesome manner that meet Company standards. Monitor cleaning procedures for two buildings, focus on process flow and proper steps during the cleaning process and communicate all procedures breakdowns/failures to PSSI Supervisors for immediate corrections and Supervisors/Superintendents for follow-up.  Monitor ovens and dry chamber cleaning and other responsibilities associated with cleaning the ovens.  Also, will include other miscellaneous Utility functions.  Must be able to complete basic math calculations and have good attention to detail.  Requires physical work:  standing, bending, walking, stair climbing.  All other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Competent and trustworthy to comply with federal inspection programs and company safety and health policies.
  2. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  3. Be available to work scheduled hours, which may include mandatory overtime, depending upon production demands.
  4. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 3rd shift: 10:30pm to 7am
