Overview

The Data integration/Interface and File Manager is a role with deep technical and systems knowledge. They serve as the bridge between the system configuration team, stakeholders, and vendors, playing a critical role in data conversion and migration of payroll systems. The position has overall responsibility for data file interfaces including development, configuration, analysis, and quality assurance. The Data Manager will collaborate with technology managers, clients, vendors, and other project teams to extract, analyze and report on data from multiple sources. The role is responsible for ensuring the quality of all data interface analysis, technical documentation, test plans, configuration and testing completed for assigned clients. The Data integration manager is also responsible for workload management. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying interface specifications throughout the production life cycle. The Data Manager is expected to coach and support colleagues within their teams.

Responsibility Areas

Operations - Project and Team Management

Technical Project Manager:

  • Manages workload across a group of assigned clients, assesses risk, prioritizes tasks, and delegates assignments, for timely and cost-effective results.
  • Works globally with the Project Lead in India to assign and balance workload and projects.
  • Consult with internal team members on complex or critical client requests; address complex technical requirements, set expectations, manage client involvement in data interface review and analysis.
  • Coach, develop, manage, and direct team members and workload across a group of clients.
  • Train and coach team members about the system, business knowledge, data interface standards, system development life cycle, and delivery models.
  • Assess risk, prioritize tasks, and delegate assignments, for timely and cost-effective results.
  • Respond to client inquiries to discuss complex data interface requirements, manage client involvement.
  • Integrates data and system requirements to ensure efficient client solutions.
  • Predicts, identifies, and communicates internal and external risks related to system and data design and consults client, third party, client team, and client prospects on legislative issues/changes, best practices, and delivery model.
  • Determines if requirements can be accommodated within the system; articulates system limitations and constraints to the client.
  • Consults client to use best practices while meeting the client's business needs.
  • Resolves open requirements items and manages the client deadlines as it relates to the system and data requirements process.
  • Identifies documents and communicates changes in scope during the requirements phase of the project.
  • Overall accountability for the completion and success of all data, system, and interface requirements.

System - Technical Development

  • Define complex client requirements; perform gap and impact analysis, and delegate data and interface analysis for configuration.
  • Review analysis and test plans, providing data interface expertise and identifying high level technical solutions.
  • Manage and ensure consistency of operating procedures, interface standards, and interface documentation standards across teams.
  • Assist data integration analysts in conceptualization and development of data interfaces to support implementations.
  • Direct the preparation/documentation of data interface requirements and specifications.
  • Run and monitor tests on new and existing data interfaces for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
  • Oversee critical analysis of test results and deliver solutions to problem areas.

Posting Qualifications

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelors Degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Experience creating functional and technical specifications and executing test plans.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience coaching and developing others.
  • 3 or more years experience managing people and/or projects.
  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience.

Technical Skills

  • Understanding of different file formats and structures as well as understanding of data models
  • SQL and demonstrated ability to use and understand a relational database structure, preferably SQL Server
  • Experience with an HRIS or Payroll system
  • Understanding of Health and Welfare benefits

Work Conditions:

  • Because of the nature of CBA work, time commitments may vary, especially during the peak season of Annual Enrollment.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
  • Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time
  • Access information using a computer and related components and peripherals.
  • Participation in training sessions, presentations, and meetings
  • Some travel may be required for the purpose of client meetings for requirements planning and training (less than 10%)

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

65,600 USD

Maximum :

104,100 USD
