We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for a Program Manager-Hybrid (EDB AMAF Accelerator, Grant Funded) on our Medical Education team. This is a hybrid position reporting into our Chicago, IL office, requiring 2 days a week in the office.
As a Program Manager-Hybrid (EDB AMAF Accelerator, Grant Funded), you will be responsible for managing activities to drive and support the AMA in operationalizing health and racial equity in medical education as assigned on an AMA Foundation grant funded health equity accelerator project to address the changes to admissions practices to medical school because of the SCOTUS decision on affirmative action. The role will work closely with colleagues in Medical Education (MedEd), across several AMA business units (especially the Center for Health Equity) to facilitate and monitor the progress grant activities.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in program management required.
3. Demonstrated experience in health and racial equity, consulting with, and/or the facilitation of diverse groups required.
4. Demonstrated experience with operational planning, budget planning, implementation and evaluation of multiple, complex projects including, convening project teams, organizing multi-faceted project plans, managing towards established timelines and project deliverables required.
5. Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from different disciplines and backgrounds, contributing as a team member; self-motivated and a strong individual contributor required.
6. Strong writing skills required, especially in the ability to conceptualize issues, synthesize a response and write/develop reports required.
7. Strong presentation and public speaking skills required, including experience presenting and facilitating in a large group setting preferred.
8. Some travel may be required.
