Job Summary:
The Sales Operations, Business & Performance Analytics Director will be responsible for two key areas: Sales Incentives and Sales Performance Management. This includes the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of sales incentive plans, providing regular updates to leadership, identifying, and addressing anomalies, running quarterly incentive commissions, and facilitating annual sales commission planning. This role will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a Sales Performance Management framework across multiple distribution teams.

Job Responsibilities:
Sales Incentives (60%):

  • Create, maintain and monitor sales incentive plans in CaptivateIQ
  • Provide monthly transparency to leadership on status of sales incentive to plan
  • Look for and escalate anomalies within the sales incentive program
  • Run quarterly incentive commissions
  • Submit payroll files
  • Provide quarterly summaries to leadership prior to payroll file for review and approval
  • Participate in annual sales commission planning
  • First line contact for sales team with sales incentive related questions
  • Administer and track progress towards sales contests and sales incentive rainmaker program
  • Participate in the quota setting process (maybe get quotas before end of Q1)
  • Collaboration with corporate compensation team Global Compensation to institute process improvement and ensure systems stay in sync
  • Partner with Global Compensation on role benchmarking and the evaluation of sales incentive trends on an on-going basis to develop new, and improve on existing, strategies to achieve impactful and results-driven sales compensation programs

Sales Performance Management (40%):

  • Collect and organize, and analyze sales data from various sources. Make recommendations on data sources to enhance sales data warehouse
  • Collaborate with and coach sales leaders to develop leading metrics for measuring the success of each sales team and salesperson
  • Design and implement a sales performance management framework to assist managers in evaluating and coaching their teams
  • Develop and maintain and generate regular reports and dashboards for individual salespeople, sales leadership, and executive leadership
  • Collaborate with finance team on pipeline and trends to forecast future sales performance
  • Launch and maintain a pipeline measurement framework that drives the forecasting methodology and helps Envestnet understand their pipeline goals in terms of creation, development, and quality
  • Analyze sales territories to ensure equitable distribution of opportunities and optimize territory assignments.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and assist strategy group with gathering and analyzing data to assess opportunities for differentiation
  • Help identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in the sales process
  • Adherence to and application of Envestnet legal, compliance, risk, business continuity and administrative policy within the role and department(s) including the timely completion of training & awareness, affirmations and testing as requested.
  • As part of the responsibilities for this role, understand and readily support Envestnet's established corporate business practices, policies, internal controls, and procedures designed to create value or minimize risk.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in revenue plan creation, maintenance, and monitoring.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Experience in designing and implementing sales performance frameworks and generating insightful reports and dashboards.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with teams, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data to identify and resolve or make recommendations to resolve anomalies.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally, particularly with finance and corporate teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from sales data.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically MS Excel modeling.
  • Database experience a plus.
