Job Description

Admission Service Center Representative:

The Admissions Service Center Representative supports Chamberlain University's admission teams by performing a wide variety of activities helping prospective students in their enrollment process for all of Chamberlain University programs. Supporting Chamberlain's Omni Channel Approach to contact, the role includes answering inbound calls and/or making outbound calls in a call center environment. With the support of the Assistant Director and Director, you will participate in ongoing trainings for the admissions department, staying up to date on policy and procedural changes, as well as participate in onboarding and training of new admissions representatives throughout the department. This entry level position is the first level of the Admissions Service Center team.

  • Proactively contact and respond to prospective students via telephone, email, and SMS with the use of a contact strategy
  • Assess and qualify prospects to determine if Chamberlain University programs meet the academic and professional goals of prospective applicants
  • Ability to establish rapport and build relationships via phone in a high-volume call center environment, making around 200 phone calls a day
  • Remain compliant with standards and policies of the University while operating in a student-centric environment
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure positive application progression, student satisfaction and success
  • Help create and pilot new admissions technology and programs
  • Accurately and compliantly communicate with prospective students using SMS conversation, email, and chat to support the department in new student enrollment.
  • Maintains a large portfolio of applicants and students and ensures all admissions communications and appointments are met
Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience

Preferred

  • A passion for higher education and the desire to help prospective students achieve their educational and career goals.
  • Enjoys interacting with prospective students over the phone while creating meaningful relationships.
  • Ability to craft well-written, compelling messages to our students and fellow colleagues.
  • Desire to work in a team oriented environment along with the ability to work well independently.
  • Goal oriented and internally motivated.
  • Ability to work 1 evening per week and an occasional Saturday.
Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $17.95 and $23.65. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
