Your Role

Reporting into the Sr Director of Procurement Indirect/Services, this leadership role is responsible for global procurement of Professional services, HR services, R&D, Travel, and fleet categories, with a total spend of approximately $520+ million. This role will lead and develop a team of 11 globally. The position will be responsible for leading procurement excellence and driving best value, with key focus on cost, quality, and service, supporting our interpersonal goals while helping to improve patient outcomes.

This role will maintain a high level of transparency to company executives while providing valuable transformation experience. It will allow you to think strategically to develop best in class sourcing and spend management.

What you'll be doing
  • Lead the development and execution of professional services category strategies to establish an elite organization and supply base to create a competitive advantage.
  • Partner with executive leadership to create a Sourcing vision and strategy that aligns with the needs of the business while meeting financial and operational control objectives.
  • Facilitation of Procurement policies and processes, ensuring that project teams and partners understand and enforce to them under governance processes.
  • Leverage and improve fit for purpose procurement process solutions, including the utilization of elite digital solution, and use of business process outsourcing.
  • Accountable for driving annual savings across Professional services categories.
  • Mentor and recruit elite talent.
  • Strong decision maker surrounding multi-million-dollar contracts and agreements and major policies.
  • Engage with executive leadership in key supplier relationships.
  • Benchmark industry standard processes and continuously advance procurement capabilities.
What you'll bring
  • Bachelor's Degree; MBA desirable. CPM preferred.
  • 10 + years' industry-related experience including five years in a sourcing leadership role.
  • Proficiency in leading a distributed team within a matrixed environment.
  • Experience working in a global environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of sophisticated contracting and pricing models across Professional services categories.
  • Ability to work and get results in ambiguous and complex situations.
  • Seasoned negotiator with strong negotiation skills, vendor relationship management, and contract negotiation experience.
  • Strong project management skills to drive projects to closure.
  • Travel of 10%-25% including global travel.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $160,000 to $220,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
