Job Description	The Plant Accounting Supervisor will help drive the financial performance for this Fortune 500 Lean Six Sigma chemical manufacturing plant and distribution center with a budget of $55 million. As a key member of the plants finance team, they will have 2 direct reports and have the responsibility to support the financial reporting preparation and analysis for this high SKU manufacturing operation. The Plant Accounting Supervisor will assist in the development of the budget, complete cost accounting analysis, maintain compliance with SOX and provide leadership to the team. Acting as the finance representative for Lean Six Sigma projects they will be exposed to a broad spectrum of manufacturing operations. The solid performer will be recognized as a strong leader and a change agent and will be rewarded by taking on a broader leadership role at the plant in 2 to 4 years. Main Responsibilities: Maintains required systems and procedures, which monitor the effectiveness of plant operations Assures policies are being followed; recommends improvements and drive changes Prepares and analyzes financial reports including providing financial information for all plant departments via creation and maintenance of Access databases Financial representative on Lean Six Sigma projects Assists in the budgeting process and procedures for all functions as well as interacts in the development of department budgets with managers Monitors key performance measurements and tracking systems Maintains systems associated with product costing Manages all accounting procedures related to operations e.g. G/L maintenance, accruals, expense charge-off, journal entry preparation, payroll processing, and inventory control including inventory reconciliations Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and/or Finance 5+ Years of experience in finance and accounting 2+ Year of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment 1+ Year experience in supervision Immigration sponsorship is not available for this position Preferred Qualifications: MBA, CPA and/or CMA Green or Black Belt designation Demonstrated ability to lead/drive financial performance Strong computer literacy in Access, Excel, CAS, SQL and SAP Skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing
